A National Award Celebrating Kids who Choose to be Kind Leaders

Programs

How Kindest Kid in America works!

Step 1: We receive nominations of awesome kids from all over the country!

Step 2: Our team chooses the winner based on who put in the most effort, gives the most consistently, and who did their act of kindness based on their own choices (as opposed to an adult telling them to do it).

Step 3: We contact the child's school and tell them the good news!

Step 4: The school chooses how they want to present the award from two options. (See Below)

Step 5: The child is presented with a gold medal with their name on it, a customized book about them and their real act of kindness, and we honor them in their community and on our platform!

We hope the winner feels like a rock star, but we also hope all the other kids at the school see kindness being celebrated and they think to themselves, "kindness is cool. Kindness is fun. Kindness is important," and then they choose to be a kind kid also!

For Schools!

This award isn't just about the child getting the award, the entire project is about ALL kids benefiting from kindness. Therefore, the PRESENTATION of the award matters.
We have two options for you.

Kindness Award Assembly

Option 1: One of our awesome, professional speakers flies to your school to give your students a marvelous 35-minute assembly all about kindness. Our team have presented over 1000 assemblies over the last 10 years, all over the country. At the end of the assembly, our speaker will announce the winner of KKIA and invite them to the stage. Then, they will read the book to whole school, give the child their own copy, and the principal gets to present the medal.  If the news or other community media are present, the child and their parents are interviewed after the assembly!  This option also includes 10 copies of the book being donated to your school library, a minimum of 10 community leaders and local media being invited (news, radio, newspaper, mayor, chief of police, etc).
Our typical assembly fee is $3900 but we can work with your budget.

or...DIY Award Assembly

Option 2:  This option includes doing the award assembly on your own.  We will send you the official KKIA medal for the winner, 10 copies of the book to  add  to your school library, one copy of the book for the child, a powerpoint file with the book so all the kids can see the pictures as the prinicipal or a representative of the school reads it, and a personalized video from Jessie to show at your assembly-congratulating the winner, sharing how fun it was to write the book, and how important it is for all the students to be kind. We will also reach out to five media sources and community leaders  (news, the mayor, etc).

Since we want this award to be a free program, all we humbly request is a "pay it forward" donation. In order to propel this program forward to help other kids, we collect donations from businesses, grants, and community members who believe in our mission. Whatever you think is fair for the value listed above will be most appreciated and will serve other kids all over America.
